Nantong Middle School International Program Pre-AP World History
Pre-AP World History familiarizes students with world culture and introduces them to recurring themes in world events. These themes range from Power and Authority, Religious and Ethical Systems, Interaction with Environment, Cultural Exchanges, and Empire Building to Science and Technology. An important goal of the course is to give students the vocabulary of history so that they can express their ideas clearly both orally and in writing. Throughout the course, students analyze primary and secondary historical documents. This prepares them for the types of questions that they will encounter in advanced exams and in college.
