2. Students will be able to explain the role of nomadic peoples and their contributions to the silk road.

3. Students will understand “diffusion” and how the silk road made the exchange of different ideas possible.

1. Geography, understanding terms that describe the different geographical features of the silk road. What were the challenges travelers faced.

Comparing &contrasting the different worlds that the silk road connected. What did this connection create? (diffusion)

• Examples of the types of diffusion that happened during that period of history contrasted to diffusion that happens today.
• To be strict with students regarding class standards.
