1. The exercise of the skill--providing background information:
Is conscience a more powerful motivator than money, fame, or power?
With the quickening and fierce pace of modern life, each person has a great desire of rising to the position of winners with expected fame, money, power, and other realistic interests rather than spiritual needs. Thereby, it has been increasingly difficult to ignore the issue on the dispute between conscience and money, fame, power. In my point of view, conscience is a more compelling force.
2. The exercise of the skill--introducing a quotation about the topic:
Is it better to change one’s attitude than to change one’s circumstances?
“I cannot change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” The wind is the unchangeable circumstance, and the sail symbolized our attitude towards the world. The environment will be stable, but we can change our attitude to adapt it and manipulate it to serve us.
3. The exercise of the skill-- raising a question about the THS in the introduction:
Are people best defined by what they do?
People tirelessly go about spending their date worrying about putting on makeup, dealing with teacher, and impressing employers. To what purpose do we invest such a monumental amount of time and effort on these aspects of life? We decide to do so because it is an innate trait to mind what others think of us, with the fact that we are always defined by our behavior or first response to an event.
